My coaching is for those who have a writing project and want support to bring it to fulfillment. Our sessions focus on you and your goals. We set a plan in place and work through blocks in order to bring your efforts to fruition.
I have worked with middle grade students in schools and summer programs teaching writing in context with other related historical or cultural experiences.
Pictured is a summer writing workshop for middle-graders that I taught with Anne Bright where we took the students to Howard Finster’s Paradise Gardens in Somerville, GA.
I have a degree in English Literature from Agnes Scott College, a master’s in American Studies from the University of Alabama, and a doctorate in education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Background influences include Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, Anne Bright’s teachings at the Proprioceptive Writing Center Southeast, and tutorials from the Writer’s Studio in New York.
